How NovaScribe Transcribes Google Meet

Paste the Google Meet link

Go to NovaScribe → Dashboard → Meeting Bot → paste the meet.google.com link → choose language (or auto-detect) → click “Send Bot.”

Admit the bot to the meeting

When the bot requests to join, click “Admit” in the Google Meet participant approval dialog. The bot starts recording automatically.

Get your transcript and summary

The bot automatically leaves when the meeting ends. Within minutes, get a full speaker-labeled transcript plus a structured meeting summary with action items, decisions, and key quotes.

Troubleshooting

Bot is not admitted to the meeting

Google Meet’s “Quick access” setting may be off, requiring host approval. The meeting host should check the participant requests panel and click “Admit” when the bot appears.

Built-in transcription option is missing

Your Google Workspace plan doesn’t include transcription (requires Business Standard or higher). Check your Workspace plan in Admin console, or use NovaScribe’s meeting bot instead.

Transcript is in the wrong language

Google’s built-in transcription only supports English. Use NovaScribe with auto-detect or manually select the meeting language before sending the bot.

Recording file is too large to upload

Long meetings produce large video files. NovaScribe accepts video files up to 2GB. For larger files, use the meeting bot method instead of record-and-upload.
