1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using NovaScribe, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The Service

NovaScribe provides AI-powered transcription of audio and video files. We convert speech to text, identify speakers, and let you edit and export the results.

We strive for high accuracy but can't guarantee 100% perfect transcriptions. Accuracy depends on audio quality, accents, background noise, and other factors. Always review transcriptions for important use cases.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You're responsible for all activity under your account
• One account per person; don't share accounts
• You must be at least 13 years old to use NovaScribe

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload content you don't have rights to
• Upload illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to hack, overload, or disrupt the service
• Reverse engineer or copy our technology
• Resell or redistribute the service without permission
• Create fake accounts or use automation to abuse the service

5. Content Ownership

Your content is yours. You retain all rights to the audio, video, and transcriptions you create. We don't claim ownership of your content.

By using NovaScribe, you give us permission to process your files to provide the service. This includes storing, transcribing, and displaying your content back to you.

You represent that you have the right to upload the content you submit and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights.

6. Payments & Billing

• Prices are displayed before purchase and charged in USD
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe
• Minutes are deducted based on audio/video duration
• Unused minutes don't expire and remain in your account
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact us if there's an issue

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but can't guarantee the service will always be available. We may have planned maintenance or unexpected outages. We're not liable for any losses due to service interruptions.

8. Termination

By you: You can delete your account anytime from your settings. Your data will be removed within 30 days.

By us: We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity. We'll try to give notice when possible, but may act immediately for serious violations.

9. Disclaimers

NovaScribe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that:

• The service will always be available or error-free
• Transcriptions will be 100% accurate
• The service will meet all your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NovaScribe and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts.
