Apple added native transcription to the Voice Memos app in iOS 18 (released 2024). On iPhone 12 and later, open any recording in Voice Memos and tap the transcript icon — you'll see the voice memo transcript synced with playback, processed entirely on-device (no audio leaves your iPhone).
